Ahoy hoy.
Random people have been adding me to their friends list. This both confuses and perplexes me as I can't figure out who they are, even after reading over their own journals. A little message or two explaining the score would be appreciated, folks.

My Fallout compliation arrived. Fallout: Tactics is as fun and bloody as ever, Fallout 2 has children in it (but for some reason it doens't have any music....) and I've yet to install the original Fallout again. In due time though.
IN MORE OTHER NEWS.
Something substantial shall be posted in the next day or so. This heat we've been having lately has done nothing for my sense of well-being, intelligence or general enthusiasm. I sweat more than a very sweaty thing.
EDIT: After about two minutes thinking, I realised the people I mentioned at the start had added Nhani to their friends list. Not me. htf I managed to get myself confused with someone else just beggars belief.

Wehehehehe.
![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) nhani just taught me how to forcibly stop my computer from accessing the WoW forum, thus stopping me getting into a ridiculous level of arguments ("this is my final post!", "no THIS is my final post", "ptsh, you're pathetic, this is my final post", etc).
Not entirely sure if this paints me as a little on the meeker side of pathetic, or unusually determined to solve a problem.

I want a new computer.
With Hellgate: London and Starcraft 2 on the horizon, as well as Warhammer Online lest we forget, I've been after a new system for a while - unfortunately due to various circumstances I don't have that much money coming in. Not a massive deal, as few of those games are due for a long while yet, but I downloaded the Half Life 2 demo last night and played around with it.
Five minutes in I was promptly beaten to death by Metrocops because I couldn't understand what they were telling me to do.
All the same, it really highlighted how crappy my current computer is. I want to play these in pretty mode, dammit.
Random trivia: Zortel was responsible for the Chernobyl incident. She indirectly confessed this after mentioning her disruptive method of hugging people who work in reactor cores.
Sneaky bish.

Starting over. Again.
Sweet Jesus, it's been so long since I had a LiveJournal this interface is so very, horribly, incredibly clunky to me. That doesn't escape the small matter of me seeming to get a new account every few months at any rate - seems a lot smoother to just tear everything down and start again I suppose.
BUTANYWAYIHAVEOTHERTHINGSTOSAY.
I recently laid my WoW Rogue to rest after having her for close enough to two years now. nhani was kind enough to add a little epilogue of her own, and for that I'm grateful - just a little grumpy not many replied to it. Isn't too surprising I suppose, given the character's somewhat...ahem....extended hiatus during the last couple of months. At any rate, with Reiki gone it leaves me at something of a crossroads in regards to where I want go with WoW. I've been tossing together a number of character concepts and so on, but a general level of apathy towards the game and Earthen Ring has set in; leaving the enthusiasm rather dogged.
Logging into ER as a Dwarf reminded me how far the server has fallen, sadly. Supposedly "respected" guilds flaunting the server policies, the same names I remember from before still believing they could get away with acting like arses just because they've been around a while, the same borderline cybersex going on in OOC channels....no matter. Guess home wouldn't be home without the leaky sink. Just need to try and rise above it and make something of the new characters.
At any rate.
I don't play City of Villains/Heroes as much as I should do. Kind of burned myself out after the last double experience weekend, and my Mastermind reaching level 32 has made the game....how should we say....a bit too easy. Being able to clear an entire room, of creatures that are three or four levels above me at that, with relatively little trouble is satisfying but kind of hollow. Been experimenting with alts however, and my Mastermind has been sat on her laurels. I still enjoy the game when I do play it, I just don't play it as much. All swings and roundabouts I guess (if that saying is even remotely appropiate here).
Also I've been playing an unhealthy amount of Half Life lately. Don't ask me why, I just have. One of those things that kinda snags you and doesn't let go until you've played it through past 3am in the morning, forcing yourself to live on fudge and lemonade so you can kill just one more marine.
Hmm. First post and it has nothing but computer game anecdotes. That's a little....sad now that I think about it.
Should have a few more substantial things to post in the near future - couple of issues that have been bugging the hell out of me - but it's just a matter of getting the coherency together for it. I might fiddle with the LiveJournal's settings, uploading some more avatars in the process, when I can be bothered but don't expect miracles. Ever.
I'm lazy like that.
